Special-FX, leading Johannesburg-based creators of in-camera, stage and in-store effects generated the exploding wardrobe in the new King Pie television commercial on a commission from Reel Edge Studios and executive producer David Golden. Director of the commercial was Matthew Jankes. Said Rafi Leigh, MD of Special-FX, “I’m always blown away by the ideas generated by our marketers and ad agency teams”.
Special-FX has contributed to the Harry Potter franchise, the US reality TV show, Amazing Race and international motor brand commercials for Tata. It therefore stays close to global developments. Look out for a new burst of creative energy, with SFX providing one of the sparks.
