Loyal readers of the Financial Mail will notice something different about the publication. Four significant changes have been made:

  •  It boasts a new section dedicated to Media and Advertising, to cater for an increasingly influential industry
  •  The statistics pages in the Money and Investing section have been cleaned up, to make them more focused and readable
  •  The FM Life section has been spruced up, with greater focus on how readers can spend their free time, as well as a look at how leading personalities like to spend their weekends
  • FM Fox has a new feature focus – Deal of the Week, to place the spotlight on the week’s top corporate activity

“The Financial Mail is long established as a must-have periodical not only for the discerning businessperson, but anyone who takes an interest in the world around them and desires a well-balanced, intelligent – and entertaining – read,” says Financial Mail editor Barney Mthombothi.

“We are proud to boast an accomplished range of writers, analysts and opinion leaders, whose informed and insightful outputs are guaranteed to give our audience many hours of thought-provoking reading pleasure.

“But we never rest on our laurels, and we’re constantly evaluating how we can improve our reader experience – from the points of view of both content and presentation. And we’re confident that with these changes to the Financial Mail, we’re doing exactly that.”

Mthombothi adds that the Financial Mail would like to hear from its readers about the changes to the title.

“Please let us know what you think. By understanding clearly what your likes, dislikes and preferences are, we will be in a more informed position to make the Financial Mail even better – as difficult as that eventually may be!”
