AMASA launches Media Planning textbook

MASA has proudly launched its brand new Media Planning textbook in partnership with leading intellect in the industry.  The textbook, already in high demand, is poised to be a highly successful industry guide.

Compiled from contributions from leaders of the media industry, the new AMASA textbook boasts the most up to date compilation of media knowledge alongside new features such as paper stock which allows notes to be taken on, simple pagination, chapter synopsis and a front cover designed by AAA students.

The editorial board, steered by Luisa Belter, consists of Harry Herber, Melanie Walter, Brad Aigner and Lea van Coller. The new AMASA textbook has been published to coincide with the . Once the new textbook is in commission for a year, it will be eligible to be a prescribed as a set book.

AMASA’s Johannesburg chairperson Lyn Jones comments, “Our objective behind the approach of the new textbook was to be an updated, hands on, practical guide to the media industry – endorsed by the major players who have had a role in shaping the landscape into what it is today. We’re extremely proud of Lea and the editorial committee in producing such an outstanding reference tool.”

Lea van Coller, AMASA Johannesburg’s deputy chairperson explains, “The focus of the new study guide hinges on practical guidance and applying the theory to everyday demands in the media industry. The key to producing a successful end product was receiving contributions from the captains of industry, ensuring that tight deadlines were adhered to and of course having the printing of the textbook sponsored by CTP Books. We’re really excited to get the material out to all the curious minds in the industry.”
