SABC censors Nando’s TV ad

The SABC has refused to screen Nando’s anti-xenophobia ad. The ad, which has already gone viral on social networks, was due to be screened for the first time last Friday (June 01). The ad promotes two new products but starts with the words, “You know what’s wrong with South Africa?” The ad then answer the question by saying, “Its all you foreigners.” It shows all races and cultures, but ends with only one remaining race, the Khoisan. The SABC said in the Sunday Times, June 03, that they would not flight an ad that contained bad language or incited violence, racism and xenophobia.
