The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are the world’s premier awards for women executives, entrepreneurs and the organisations they run. South African public relations and event management company Inzalo Communication topped the Communications or PR Campaign of the Year – Low Budget category, and walked off with a Stevie.
“Judging is based on the average scores campaigns receive during the two months of preliminary judging and two weeks of final judging for campaigns under $10,000 or €7,000,” says Inzalo executive director Bridget von Holdt. “We are thrilled to have won this award, especially because we are so passionate about our involvement with the Nelson Mandela Foundation and Nelson Mandela Day.”
The 2011 Stevie Award winners were announced at the American Business Awards’ (ABA) annual awards banquet in New York. “In May 2010, Inzalo helped launch the Mandela Day campaign around South Africa. Its success has been phenomenal, which was ‘first prize’ for us. Our Stevie is a bonus, and one we’re delighted to accept,” Von Holdt says.
