Samsung and have launched a new free application that enables Galaxy smartphone users to select World Cup Rugby matches that they want to see and the application automatically sets reminders, at local time, to ensure fans don’t miss selected games.

The application, RWC Match Reminder, which can be found on the Samsung Apps Store, has just gone live to coincide with the opening of the Rugby World Cup.

“We are proud to associate ourselves with the local Samsung Apps Store and there’ll be more exciting apps coming in future,” say Renato Balona, Head of New Media, Media24 Lifestyle Magazines.

“In the spirit of the World Cup, we are 100% behind the Springboks and this is just another way Samsung are meeting local demands and expectations – ensuring that fans never have to miss a game, compliments of Samsung and Sports Illustrated,” says Brett Loubser, B2C Apps Development Lead at Samsung.
