Daily Sun gives back to readers this Xmas

Dreams are actually coming true for SunReaders! Thanks to Daily Sun, key sponsors and RedInk Multimedia, 33 lucky readers who entered the SunWishes campaign will have their wish granted and featured in the paper every publishing day until 20 January 2012.

The campaign’s first winner Atipaishe Singende was given a bicycle and a 4th birthday party that he is unlikely to forget! SunBabe 2011, Mahlatse Maabane was there to bring the cheer to his pre-school in Turffontein.  His wish included a Ben 10 cake, balloons, sweets and the bike.

Daily Sun, the paper for the people, combines this campaign this season with its Sticapic SunHouses campaign where a house in Dobsonville is up for grabs. The combination of generosity and “being there” for its readers, is having an incredible effect on morale and newspaper sales.

How the campaign works

SunReaders were asked to make a wish on the Daily Sun mobisite, www.dailysun.mobi. The winners were chosen through the month of November, and starting from the 1st of December 2011 till the 20th of January 2012, one wish will be granted each day that the newspaper is published. Every wish granted will be featured on the Daily Sun Facebook page, mobisite and in the newspaper until the 20th of January 2012.  Almost 12 000 entries were received.
