The Media24 Magazines Excellence Awards ceremony was held yesterday at the Table Bay Hotel, Cape Town. It is the event where the division rewards editorial and publishing excellence. The division runs an extensive competition to determine the winners and judging is done on the basis of peer review, i.e. journalists in the division judge their colleagues’ work. The objective is to promote excellence throughout the group by exposing peers to each other’s work. This is the 10th annual competition and various new categories, including Magazine of the Year, were introduced this year.
