The entertaining and humorous TV campaign by Net#work BBDO for Ndalo Media magazine title Destiny Man had made waves as it depicts a socially inept character who is obviously not reader of the publication.
The campaign concept was created and developed by Net#work BBDO Executive Creative Director Rob McLennan, Deputy Executive Creative Director, Graeme Jenner, copywriter Loyiso Madinga and art director Byron Liatos.
Says Boniswa Pezisa, Net#work BBDO Group Managing Director, the Destiny Man TV campaign truly resonates with all South Africans and that is what made it particularly unique and entertaining. It had also once again demonstrated Net#work BBDO’s knack for connecting with audiences through humour.
This year, the Pendoring Awards have been incorporated into the annual Loerie Creative Week which takes place in Cape Town from 15 to 23 September. The Pendoring Awards was established in 1994 to promote an award for Afrikaans language advertising and 2012 saw the Pendoring Awards broaden their entry intake to include broader South African targeted campaigns.
Following the Pendoring Awards, the 34th annual Loerie Awards will be held on Saturday 22 September and Sunday 23 September at the Cape Town International Convention Centre in Cape Town.
Net#work BBDO is run from their creative base in Johannesburg by Boniswa Pezisa (Group Managing Director), Rob McLennan (Executive Creative Director), Joy Turnbull (Deputy Managing Director) and Graeme Jenner (Deputy Executive Creative Director).
