Continental Outdoor is proudly supporting the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) 2025. They kick-start soccer fever at Africa’s most prestigious soccer tournament, even before the official, already sold-out opening game on Saturday between South Africa and Cape Verde. All the Gautrain Stations are adorned with iconic green and yellow Afcon Continental Outdoor billboards showing Takuma the hippo, the official Afcon mascot, getting into the game and “The Beat at Africa’s Feet”. Not only does Continental Outdoor hold exclusive advertising rights at all the Gautrain Stations but they are playing host to Afcon’s “The Beat at Africa’s Feet” campaign.
Central to “The Beat at Africa’s Feet” campaign is the proudly South African designed Takuma, who wears a yellow soccer kit and was unveiled in a draw in Durban last month and will be the mascot for many years to come. Takuma, who appears on all Continental’s Afcon Billboards, was designed by a pupil at Dikgorwaneng Primary School, in Hammanskraal.
