5FM wins three awards in 2012 Leisure Options ‘Best of Joburg’ survey

It’s been an award-winning year for 5FM. Following hot on the heels of the recent MTN Radio Award for Station of the Year as well as being voted the Coolest Radio Station at the Sunday Times Generation Next awards for the seventh year in a row, comes three awards in the 2012 Leisure Options ‘Best of Joburg’ survey.

In a hat trick for 5FM, ‘Best of Joburg’ readers voted 5FM as the Best Radio Station for 2012. In addition, 5FM’s breakfast show, 5FM Mornings With Gareth Cliff, won Best Radio Show while Gareth Cliff won Best Radio DJ. Says 5FM’s station manager Aisha Mohamed, “We’d like to thank our loyal Joburg listeners for voting us #1 for the second year in a row. It’s wonderful to know that 5FM can be #1 in a city like Joburg.”
