The South African version of the most influential magazine in pop culture, Rolling Stone, will be launched in South Africa in November. The magazine made its presence known at the recent Rocking the Daisies Festival. Founded in 1967 in the USA by still-editor and publisher Jann Wenner and Ralph J Gleason, the South African edition plans to continue in that tradition, according to SA Editor-in-Chief Miles Keylock. The South African edition will be launched as a monthly title with a print run of 30 000 copies. Most of the information around the South African edition is still being kept under wraps.
