The recently launched ‘Innovation of the People’ advertising campaign, created by TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris, highlights how Sasol’s innovation touches the lives of millions and also plays a part in our day-to-day experience.
The TVC takes viewers through a series of sets on a typical South African landscape and was filmed in a single and seamless shot. The narrator walking through each set illustrates how innovative ideas impact on peoples lives. The location for the two-day shoot was Yzerfontein, 85km north of Cape Town.
The ad incorporates state-of-the-art computer generated animation. The aeroplane was digitally added to demonstrate how flight could be used to extinguish fire. The fire, however, was real but was closely controlled by the local fire brigade.
