Tim Bishop moves on

Prezence Digital has announced that Tim Bishop, the founder and CTO of the digital agency, has decided to move on after more than ten years of service.

Bishop established Prezence Digital in the UK in 1998, and the company expanded into the South African market in 2002.

Over the past  decade Prezence Digital has grown to one of the leading digital agencies in South Africa boasting an impressive client roster including the likes of Ster-Kinekor, EWN, Computicket, BidorBuy, Diners Club, Investec, Travelport, Old Mutual, Sony Music, Media24, and EMI.

“It’s not easy leaving something you have built up from ground-level, but after ten years and seeing the extraordinary heights the Company has now achieved, I feel it is time to move on,” says Bishop on his departure.

“Without the likes of Prakash Patel and George Reed at the helm of Prezence Digital as well as the incredible strong team I leave behind, I’d never have been able to make this difficult decision. I, however, have more than enough confidence that the senior management and the entire Prezence Digital team will not only continue to produce the innovative and ground-breaking digital solutions which are the hallmark of this agency, but take Prezence Digital to even greater heights.”

Bishop will be joining as a Director at the professional services firm Deloitte to help expand their Enterprise Mobility capabilities.

“Tim’s decision to move on represents a sad moment for myself and the entire Prezence Digital family,” says Prakash Patel, CEO of the agency.

“Thanks to Tim’s hard work, Prezence Digital has become a force to be reckoned with in South Africa’s digital and marketing industry. The teams which Tim has nurtured and developed over the past decade will ensure that Prezence Digital will remain on the cutting edge of, as Tim would say, ‘mobilising the masses’.”

In noting Bishop’s departure, Michael Markovitz, chairman of Primedia Digital says Tim will be missed at Prezence Digital and in the wider Primedia Digital family.

“We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours and thank him for the invaluable contribution he has made to Prezence Digital and the South African digital landscape as a whole.”
“Under the continued management of CEO Prakash Patel, we look forward to building on Prezence Digital’s impressive,  award-winning work and strong client base”.
