The 2012 first quarter ABC results are out and Men’s Health continues to dominate the men’s market with an audited circulation of 74,903.
The magazine outperformed its nearest competitor, Popular Mechanics, by more than 24,000 copies. Year-on-year the magazine has grown 6.3%, all of which is due to growth in paid circulation.
Jason Brown, Men’s Health editor, says “Men’s Health has firmly entrenched itself as the leading men’s lifestyle brand after 12 consecutive ABC periods as the top men’s magazine in South Africa. It remains the number one title by continuing to evolve and innovate to attract a broad base of readers. In a tough market, we’re thrilled with this newsstand performance, which is great news for us, and great news for our advertisers.”
On every level, Men’s Health is showing it’s the magazine men live by. The latest AMPS readership figures (AMPS 2011B) show that a massive 1,003,000 men read the magazine. This is the first time that Men’s Health’s readership has exceeded a million!
