Vega dominates at Loeries and Pendorings

The Vega School of Brand Leadership’s (Vega) reputation as a leader in brand innovation has again been cemented having recently won one Gold, three Silver, and three Bronze awards, and claiming three out of four craft awards at this year’s Loeries.

In addition, its students also collected two silver Pendoring Awards for the Owl Rescue 911 campaign submitted by the Johannesburg campus, and for the Cape Town campus’ Big Blue campaign.

Ralf Degni, CEO of Vega asserts that these accolades are testament that the institution is breeding whole-brain brand thinkers that are not only creative and exceptionally talented but are eager to problem solve and are inspired to lead with distinction.

“While we train creative strategic thinkers and strategic creative thinkers, we also focus on an entire brand value chain which results in healthier brands, businesses, and communications campaigns.

“It is evident through these awards that Vega offers a stimulating environment to produce the best creative ideas, while our students understand what is required in the business of brand building and how it fits into the greater business environment.”

Degni affirms that Vega’s teachings and its creative outputs whether it be student award entries, craft projects or addressing clients’ brand challenges, are wholly aligned to delivering authentic brands with social significance.

“Vega has grown in leaps and bounds since our inception as a tiny renegade brand innovation school 13 years ago. However, looking back on the successes of our students and the school, Vega may have grown physically and philosophically, but the essence remains unchanged. We will continue breeding visionary designers who build brands that matter.”

The Loerie Awards, which recognise entries from South Africa, Africa and the Middle East, and the Pendoring Awards, which attract a large number of international entries, focus on both recognising creative excellence in all areas of brand communication, and rewarding the sharpest minds in the industry.
