Lowe Bull CT continues successful Hansa Pilsener campaign

Advertising agency Lowe Bull Cape Town has added to the momentum of the  Hansa Pilsener campaign with another colourful TV commercial. Featuring the much-loved Vuyo, a young man who, just like Hansa Pilsener, has that special ingredient – his ability to dream big – the fast-paced commercial tells a humorous tale of how Vuyo invents the ‘Vuyozela’.

The commercial shows how Vuyo sees a musician playing a local African instrument, and then decides to work with the musician to build on the instrument and add a special twist to it.  As the shape of the ‘modified’ instrument comes together, the commercial tracks the exciting journey of Vuyo and his Vuyozela, which naturally involves time spent drinking Hansa Pilsener.

The Vuyozela ultimately turns into a global sensation, and the commercial depicts its popularity in clubs and concerts around the world. The Vuyozela makes an appearance on a famous talk show, and we even see it being played by Scotsmen (in place of their bagpipes) and by rockstars. The commercial closes with the happy scene of Vuyo relaxing with his friends by the pool while enjoying the special taste of Hansa Pilsener.  Viewers are left with the tagline, ‘Be Refreshingly Different,’ which is essentially the ingredient behind both Vuyo’s fame and his favourite beer.
