However, there have been some ridiculous products advertised which you would have a hard time believing people actually bought. The products have been so notorious that they have been covered by news outlet including the Spanish news channel Univision Telenovelas. So, if you are thinking of purchasing something from As Seen on TV, here are eight most ridiculous gadgets advertised there which you should avoid at all costs.

1.      Neckline Slimmer

This is one for people who have double or triple chin. When you gain weight, it is natural for the fat to show up in different parts. Somewhere along the way, your chin bulges and starts hanging down. Well, the Neckline Slimmer claimed to be the solution. Supposedly, pressing your chin down on it tones the muscles and reduces the bulge.

2.      Flowbee Vacuum Hair Cutter

Even more ridiculous than the Neckline Slimmer is the vacuum hair cutter from Flowbee. It works like a vacuum cleaner but instead of cleaning up your home, it takes the hair off your scalp. Complete with its own corny ad, the vacuum hair cutter still finds buyers despite being ridiculed for over two decades.

3.      Meatball Magic

There are some difficult tasks people do around the home but it is doubtful rolling meatballs is one of them. Apparently, the folks at As Seen on TV think differently about it. The Meatball Magic is a gadget which is ridiculousness personified. All it does it cut and shape meatballs!

4.      Snuggie for Dogs

The idea behind Snuggie for Dogs is a novel one. It covers your dog well during the winter season. However, it also makes it look like a monk. If someone offered you a winter dress which made you look like a monk, would you put it on?

5.      Cardio Jump

Once again, it is a great idea. Getting people to move off their butts and exercise while watching TV is a great concept. However, the Cardio Jump system is about jumping in place. That’s right! The makers claim it’s a jump rope, but there is no rope! Instead, you have to pretend that you are using one and the gizmo attached to the system will track time, calories burnt and number of jumps. You are better off doing jumping jacks for free rather than coughing up over $30 for this!

6.      Candle Quick

Taking ridiculousness to a new high is Candle Quick. Have you ever had a hard time looking for the wick of your candle? Don’t worry as Candle Quick is here to the rescue. It melts the top of the candle so you can find the wick and light it easily. Seeing the commercial for it makes one wish light the entire set on fire!

7.      Hawaii Hula Chair

The Hawaii Hula Chair is as ‘Hawaiian’ as Justin Bieber is a great singer. Get the point? It is simply a vibrating seat you can strap yourself on to. It does feel great for a while, but do you really believe you can shed your body weight through it? The makers claim that it can get you slim and smart doing nothing! The Hawaii Hula Chair is the Seinfeld of exercise equipment. It does nothing!

8.      Tiddy Bear

If you haven’t seen As Seen on TV ever, you would have a hard time believing this one. The Tiddy Bear is simply a miniature teddy bear which you can place against your body while in the car to avoid the seatbelts from pressing on your skin too hard. No doubt that the seatbelt can dig into your skin, but does that mean you have to suffer the embarrassment that comes with having a Tiddy Bear on your belly!
